The MHSLA Planning Committee is pleased to announce the open registration for our 1/2 day program on Sunday, May 18, Revving Up Research: Navigating the AI-Fueled Future of Scholarship! The Pre-Conference takes place ahead of the MiALA Annual Conference Driving Excellence: Navigating the Challenges & Opportunities on May 19 and 20, 2025!
The Pre-Conference, co-sponsored by MHSLA and the MiALA Health Sciences Interest Group, will be held on Sunday, May 18, from 12 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the University of Michigan—Flint Conference Center, 303 E. Kearsley Street, Flint, MI 48502.
Parking: Free parking for the conference is available in the University Pavilion Parking Ramp, which is just a block away from both the hotel and the conference center. The Hilton does have valet parking for $20. There is no charge for parking at the Flint Institute of Arts either.

1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. MHSLA Business Meeting
2 p.m. – 2:15 p.m. break Vendors open
2:15 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. MHSLA Adhoc Research Committee sharing their project findings
2:35 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. Guest Speaker Presentation “Progressive AI learning integration framework (PAIL): focusing on AI-enhanced scholarly research” with Professor Phillip Olla from the University of Detroit Mercy College of Public Health. CE will be provided.
4:30 p.m. end of program

$35 for current MHSLA and MiALA members or both
$50 for non-MHSLA or non-MiALA members

Please register using the online Pre-Conference registration form by Monday, May 5. Lunch and CE are included for all Pre-Conference registrants.
**Please note: Registration for the Pre-Conference is separate from registration for the MiALA Conference. Registration for the MiALA Conference is open, so please visit the MiALA Conference website for more information. Also, the Sunday, May 18 MiALA opening reception from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at the Flint Institute of Arts is NOT included in the Pre-Conference registration—you must be separately registered for the MiALA Conference to attend the reception. There is no charge for parking at the Flint Institute of Arts either.
